I fell on the cusp for sizes, 12" bicep which is the end of med. start of large. I got the medium and it is a little too tight, but I think it will do. I got it to alleviate elbow discomfort when I play pool and it seems to work for that based upon a couple of racks shot. I'll see if it stretches out a little. If it doesn't yet achieves what I want from it, I'll get the next size (large).
Btw, I think that copper business is a bunch of nonsense, but the compression part works.
I will admit I was a bit wary about this. I read a lot of the reviews and decided "what the heck, it's only $20." I have had a bout of ulnar nerve pain for a month or so. I could barely eat, drink, blow my nose... the list goes on and on. I could not bend my left arm to get to my face. I got the sleeve and was surprised it was so light and flexible. I only had it on about an hour when I noticed the pain had subsided and I could flex my arm. It has done a wonderful job. It is not a miracle cure, but it definitely helps. I am totally satisfied with the product. I barely notice it is on because it is so light and flexible. Good job guys. You have a fan in me for sure.
My dog flipped me off of my hammock and I fell elbow first onto the rock patio. I burst my bursa sac. The doctor suggested I wrap my upper arm and elbow with an Ace bandage to help dissipate the fluid. It is a pretty comical site to try to wrap your own elbow. After several unsuccessful attempts with the Ace bandage, I ordered the compression elbow sleeve. I don't feel as though I have large arms but was on the borderline of medium and large. I ordered the medium in order to get greater compression and it worked wonderfully. I wore it at night and the remaining fluid was completed dissipated after a week or so. If I would have had to wear it all day, I would have preferred the large as it would have been more comfortable.
At first, when I put the sleeve on, I said to myself , "Well, that's $ 20 bucks I wasted." But after 20 minutes of wearing the sleeve, 8 months of pain disappeared completely. I'm sold, this thing is amazing!
This did seem to help my tennis elbow in conjunction with an elbos=w brace.
I have to wonder if this elbow sleeve would have fixed me up by itself but I couldn't tolerate it for long periods due to the silicone bead running along the inside of the sleeve, as well as its stitching, which made this very uncomfortable.
I tried doubling over the end of the sleeve so the silicone wouldn't pinch against my skin but that made the top of the sleeve, which is already thicker because of the way it is finished, too constricting.
If you're looking too purchase a good sleeve this is definitely the one to get. I work at UPS and I work out also and this definitely helps with elbow pain that I occasionally get from lifting heavy packages or heavy weights whether it be doing bp, ohp, curls, etc. my shift at UPS runs for about 5 hours of continuous labor work moving heavy packages and this helps out so much and isn't hot like I thought it would be evendors in the record heat we'very been hacing lately. I have already recommended it to over 12 people who have asked about it in the fews days I had it. I ordered the size half a inch smaller than what was listed for my arm for a tighter fit and it feels perfect to me with no slipping.
I had to measure my arm to get an accurate fit. The amount of compression is perfect. At first, I thought it wasn't enough. However, I wore it to physical therapy and she said it was exactly what was needed. Whatever is in the sleeve at the very top and bottom keep it from moving around. This I would recommend to anyone desiring the perfect amount of compression...but DO measure your arm for proper fit.
I have been wearing this compression sleeve for about 6 weeks to help with tennis elbow (I don't play tennis, but it is that type of injury). I had let the tennis elbow go untreated for several months, so it had gotten quite severe. At first I wore the sleeve in conjunction with a forearm band (sold together or separately). After about two or three weeks, my arm was improving enough that I quit wearing the forearm band and started just wearing the sleeve by itself. The sleeve is very light weight and I easily forget that I am wearing it. I bought the large size based on the sizing diagram and it fit very nicely. The sleeve has a silicone band at the top which keeps it in place and (very importantly) does not bind or pinch. My tennis elbow has improved to the point that I do not wear the sleeve every day, but I can tell the difference when I don't and always regret it.
Wasn’t so sure about this when it arrived but have been lifting weights several times a week and it has greatly reduced the pain I was having in my elbow.
I have been suffering for a few weeks from a sore elbow from kettlebell training (like tennis elbow). I stopped training, but kept aggravating my elbow doing everyday things like opening jars, etc. I put the sleeve on as soon as I received it, and I can't feel the pain at all! The sleeve itself is compressing, but not too tight. I did measure my bicep as suggested and bought the sleeve closest to my measurements. I think this will help my injury finally heal so I can get back to my kettlebells.
